• Hospital Partnerships: Approximately 90% of the patients we support come through our empaneled hospital partners. We have established strategic collaborations with renowned medical institutions that share our commitment to providing affordable heart surgeries.

• Word of Mouth: A smaller portion of our patients are referred to us through word of mouth. Our reputation for compassionate care and financial assistance often spreads through communities, leading families in need to seek our support.

• Patient Interviews: Our dedicated team, including employees, volunteers, and trustees, conducts patient interviews. This personal interaction allows us to understand the individual's medical condition, socio-economic background, and their ability to contribute financially without pushing them into undue financial burden.

 

Financial Assistance

 

• Negotiating Discounted Packages: We collaborate with our empaneled hospitals to negotiate discounted packages for heart surgeries. These discounts often range from 20% to as much as 50% off the standard hospital charges.

• Flexible Payment: Our approach is to ensure that no patient is denied access to essential medical care due to financial constraints. Patients are encouraged to contribute whatever they can afford towards their treatment.

• Foundation's Contribution: Have A Heart Foundation steps in to cover the balance of the surgery costs. On average, we contribute approximately Rs. 40,000 per patient, ensuring that life-saving surgeries are accessible to those who need them most.

 

Leveraging Government Funding

 

• We explore opportunities to leverage government funding and schemes to further extend our reach. Government support can significantly enhance our ability to assist more patients with limited resources.

 

Hospital Collaborations

 

• We work closely with empaneled hospitals to ensure the smooth execution of heart surgeries. The hospitals are an integral part of our mission, providing high-quality medical care to our patients.

• We maintain a transparent and collaborative relationship with our hospital partners to ensure that the patient's best interests are always prioritized.

 

Zero-Overhead Commitment

 

• Have A Heart Foundation is proud to be a zero-overhead NGO. This means that 100% of all donations go directly to funding our charitable activities. Trustees personally fund all operational expenses, donate their time, and contribute their own resources to ensure the most efficient use of funds.

 

Continuous Monitoring

 

• We maintain an ongoing relationship with patients and hospitals to monitor the progress of surgeries and ensure that patients receive the necessary post-operative care.

 

Expanding Our Reach

 

• Our operations extend beyond heart surgeries. We also support complex spine surgeries, provide scholarships for education, and are committed to preventing blindness among premature babies due to Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP).
